I · The Main Plot

Where We Start

Lindon, Yerin and Mercy have joined the Skysworn and are assigned a mission to Ghostwater, a facility formerly run by Northstrider. Lindon and Orthos enter with one Skysworn member, who is quickly killed by the Truegolds already inside.

Major Plot Points & Spoilers

  1. The people inside include Akura Harmony of the Akura family, Yan Shoumei of Redmoon Hall, the gold dragon Ekerinatoth and a green-horned man named Ziel with a shattered core.
  2. Lindon advances to Truegold in his Blackflame core and Highgold in his pure core. He fights and kills Ekerinatoth, which earns him the hatred of her sister Sopharanatoth, and takes a void key from her.
  3. He discovers Dross, a sentient construct. In the final fight with Harmony, Dross combines the waters of the Spirit, Life and Dream wells with a droplet of Ghostwater and merges with Lindon's spirit as an inner presence.
  4. Lindon offers to take Harmony out as a goodwill gesture, but Harmony refuses; Lindon destroys Harmony's gatestone and leaves through the portal.
  5. Outside, Yerin advances to Highgold, Mercy reveals her path and her history with Harmony, her former fiance, and Eithan is offered the Aurelius patriarchy again but asks instead to join the Skysworn.
