Zac forms his D-grade core, which splits him into a Human body and a Draugr body, and walks into a Zecia already at war with the Kan'Tanu Cult. I · The Main Plot

Where We Start

Zac has just finished forming his cosmic core after the Perennial Vastness (wiki: Ch 1,060). He comes back to find Earth already at war, the Kan'Tanu Cult moving in on the sector, and the System feeding the conflict with treasures and trial candidates.

Major Plot Points & Spoilers

  1. The wiki credits the completed core to Ch 1,060: a D-grade Evolutionary Core and Inexorable Core in a quantum state. The Duplicity Core forces Zac to split into two linked bodies, a Human and a Draugr, run by one consciousness. The wiki names the second body Arcaz (Arcaz Umbri'Zi, also a Calamity Company member), and reviewers say Zac visits the Undead Empire at the start of the war.
  2. The Intersector War is fought as a merit contest over planets. Emily becomes the Empire's first native Hegemon one month into the war and a Third-Degree Captain, letting Zac's forces act on one of two Middle D-grade battlegrounds (Ch 1,067). The Kan'Tanu Heart Curse lets attackers strike even after death, and many defenders fall to madness after killing their foes.
  3. New System quests arrive: Indomitable Spirit (execute hostile leaders worth 25,000 Merit) and Flamebearer of Zecia (conquer 9 Early D-grade worlds in the Zurbor Sector and kill or capture a Sealbearer, Ch 1,067-1,068).
  4. Zac secures supply and ships from other powers. The Allbright Empire keeps selling him ships from his shipyard at a 60% price hike (plus a smithy, formation guild and alchemist clan), and the Kavriel Province offers Brightglaive Munitions under Undead oversight (Revenants Serzo and Petrus) on a two-month deadline (Ch 1,079-1,095).
  5. Sealbearers progress. Most finish their first quests and the second tasks bring bursts of epiphany (Ch 1,105). Stormstar is slain by Lissa (Ch 1,107), and Joanna (Ch 1,121) and Vilari (Ch 1,124) advance. Vilari breaks through and is called the most dangerous person in his army besides Zac.
  6. Zac converts many E-grade skills to D-grade, including Axe Mastery and Armament Mastery (Ch 1,097) and the Cyclic Strike transformations Extinction Event and Origin Revolution (Ch 1,135).
  7. Reviewers say only about three real battles are shown, Ogras and Catheya are largely absent, and the Left Imperial Palace remains unexplained. They also say Leandra's rescue is deferred, with one reviewer putting it 500 years away.

Where the Book Leaves Off

The book ends on what reviewers call a cliffhanger, with hints about the Ultom Courts and further developments rather than a resolution. Exactly which scene closes the book is not confirmed. Book 14 opens with Zecia weakened by years of war and an ancient Limitless Empire fortress rising from the dimensional depths.

II · Characters & Personal Progression

No change to his romantic status is confirmed in our sources. Catheya is largely offstage for the book, and the Zac and Catheya relationship from Book 12 is not developed in the sources we have.
