Defiance of the Fall

1. On the fourth floor Zac goes up alone to face the floor guardian while Ogras stays behind. He kills the Erudite Master for the True Strike skill, finishing the floor.
2. On the fifth floor he cannot finish the first three levels' quests and just bashes his way up. He fights a thirty-meter Golem as training and takes Cosmic Gaze as the floor reward, which works in both of his forms.
3. On the sixth floor Zac meets Thelim, beats the Enlightened Three of the Perenme Family in a Dao Discourse, and then the family matriarch when she tries to mind-control him. He picks the Nine Reincarnations Manual as his reward.
4. He spends days on the first level of the seventh floor in an Undead Kingdom, then faces a Battle of Fates rather than a normal guardian. A scion of the Ignus Clan destroys his soul, and he is saved only by eating the Prajna Cherry, which also fuses his last two Seeds into an Early Fragment of the Bodhi.
5. Zac forces a Red Hand Society assassin to break his Tower token and flee. Iz Tayn, granddaughter of a Throne, notices him and marks him with her fire.
6. Meanwhile Ogras flees the Mayor and kills the fourth floor guardian, Catheya wipes out the Tsarun in Base Town and gives Zac two Karmic treasures plus a token to Twilight Harbor, and Yeorav Dravorak prepares an ambush.
7. The last floor reward is a Divine Investiture Array. Zac uses it to turn the dying Alea into the cursed spirit tool Love's Bond so that part of her survives.
8. Back at Port Atwood he fights off Undead and Church invaders. He faces his E-grade evolution, summoning the Heart and Soul Tribulations together, and picks Edge of Arcadia (from Hatchetman) and Fetters of Desolation (a divergence from Undying Bulwark). Zac reaches level 80 and opens five nodes.
9. Zac and the Atwood elites head out and power-level on the way to the Undead Incursion. He closes it by killing the Lich King Adriel. Adriel's former attendant Triv signs a lifelong servitude contract with Zac.
10. Zac's Heart tribulation vision of his mother makes him conclude Robert was not his biological father, and a Leandra AI in the Technocrat necklace explains Robert found her wandering Earth with her memories clouded.

The Undead Incursion is closed and Zac is a level 80 Early E-grade. The next book opens with Zac preparing to enter the Technocrat Mystic Realm and offering Thea and Billy a chance at its Inheritances.

E-grade, Early. Human body is level 80 Edge of Arcadia (E-Epic) with the status sheet's Ch 80 line. Draugr body is Fetters of Desolation (E-Epic). Over 2,000 Endurance, over 1,000 Strength and Vitality, over 6 billion Nexus Coins before evolving.
