I · The Main Plot
Where We Start
By the Risingshadow blurb, calm is settling over the Undersider city now that To'Aacar is gone, and To'Wrathh's shifting loyalties remain hidden from Relinquished. The Pale Lady, who punishes failure harshly, wants to know what happened.
Major Plot Points & Spoilers
- The Pale Lady sends three Feathers to find out what happened to To'Aacar: To'Sefit, a deadly assassin; To'Orda, a nearly unstoppable brute; and To'Avalis, a strategist who always plans several moves ahead.
- To'Wrathh and Keith must seek help from ancient beings and the mite forges that shaped the world.
- The only reachable forge lies dormant in a sunken temple full of crumbling walls and traps. The blurb says it can grant any wish, even one powerful enough to break a god.
- Keith is determined to claim the forge, but first the pair must outwit their relentless pursuers.
Where the Book Leaves Off
The blurb gives no final-chapter detail. The Book 5 blurb says Keith nearly died in an underground temple where he, his sister and his father repaired To'Wrathh's shell. It then says the group returned to Clan Altosk as heroes, so those are the events that follow. This primer stops at the end of Book 4.
