I · The Main Plot
Where We Start
One Challenge Dungeon remains. Chapter 1 ('To Be a Package Delivery Worker', overall ch. 831) drops Jake into a delivery-themed dungeon, while the rest of the C-grade competition draws more divine attention than any era before, according to the blurb.
Major Plot Points & Spoilers
- The courier dungeon (ch. 1 to 24) runs on odd jobs, 'Special Delivery', 'Package Police', an 'Infernal Baron', an 'Infinite Loop Agent' and a 'Legendary Courier' run. A 'Forsaken Dragonkin' shows up (ch. 18), and 'The True Path to Godhood' (ch. 20) includes a quoted answer from Jake of 'Get good.' Chapter 21 is 'The All-Stars of the Challenge Dungeons'. Exact scoring and rewards are unverified.
- Ch. 22 ('Mysterious Better Boots') gives Jake the Boots of the Wandering Sage, which the wiki equipment table dates to ch. 852. Ch. 25 ('The Gang Back Together') reunites the party for the climb.
- Floors 71 to 80 (ch. 26 to 43): a Chief Overseer, a Level 260 class skill selection (ch. 28), 'Wartime', a 'Twin Emperor' (identified at ch. 34, with 'Emperor vs. King' and 'One Tanky Bastard' fights) and 'Independence Achieved' (ch. 40). Details of those fights are unverified.
- Ch. 45 and 46 are 'Leaderboards' and 'Peerless Conqueror of Nevermore'. The wiki's Nevermore page records Jake first in the 93rd universe, the 93rd era ('Era's Pinnacle') and all time, Ell'Hakan second in the universe and era, and the Sword Saint ninth in the universe.
- Ch. 47 to 62 is a long post-Leaderboards social stretch: a party, 'A Proposal From the Heart', 'An Unexpected Encounter', 'Mysterious Boots & Dragon Princesses', 'Heartfelt Conversations & Hidden Agendas', 'Temporary Farewells', a day of 'forced socialization' in Nevermore City, 'Forbidden Knowledge', 'Pillow Talk', 'Time to Make History' and a 'Demonic Soulspace Adventure: Cerulean Devil Edition'. The wiki says the real Artemis, with Nature's Attendant, attended the Wyrmgod's viewing party, and that Jake shielded her when his aura clashed with Valdemar's. We cannot place that scene to a chapter.
- Ch. 62 to 76: 'Time to Head Home', 'Post-Nevermore Status', 'Years of Change', 'Yggdrasil', 'Demon Lore Galore', 'Planting Seeds & Sandy's Return', 'An All-New Haven', 'The Dark Ones and He Who Knows', 'Science Worm & Rolling With Rick', 'Blood on the Ice', 'Prima Preparations & Northpeak Wyvern', 'To Visit One's Parents' and 'Quality Family Time'. The book ends on 'All Good Things Must Come to an End' (ch. 906).
Where the Book Leaves Off
Jake is back on Earth after Nevermore, has visited his parents, and is preparing for the Prima Guardian system event (the 'Prima Preparations' chapter and the Book 13 blurb). The exact final scene of ch. 906 is unverified.
II · Characters & Personal Progression
Romantic & Personal Status
Heavy relationship material, but the sources only give chapter titles. 'A Proposal From the Heart' (ch. 49) and 'Pillow Talk' (ch. 58) are in this book, and the wiki's Artemis page says the real Artemis first met Jake at the Wyrmgod's viewing party. The wiki's relationship page still lists Carmen as a friend-with-benefits. We could not verify what the 'proposal' was.
Inner Circle Check-In
- Sylphie: On the cover of Book 12 according to the wiki, and part of Jake's party for the final push.
- Noboru Miyamoto (the Sword Saint): Finishes ninth in the 93rd universe on the C-grade Leaderboards per the wiki's Nevermore page, behind Jake and Ell'Hakan.
- Sandy: Jake's Cosmic Genesis Worm friend returns in 'Planting Seeds & Sandy's Return' (ch. 67).
- Jake's family: Ch. 74 and 75 ('To Visit One's Parents', 'Quality Family Time') are a rare Earth family stretch before the Prima Guardian.
Key New Faces & Factions
Finishes second to Jake in the universe, the era and the all-time table, per the wiki's Nevermore page. The Book 12 blurb sets him up to try to break every prior record.
Floor boss around ch. 34 to 39 ('Twin Emperor Identified', 'Twinhead Emperor', 'Emperor vs. King'). We have no details beyond the titles.
'Demonic Soulspace Adventure: Cerulean Devil Edition' (ch. 61). The wiki has a Cerulean Devil page, and a Demon Prince of the Fourth Hell is third on the era board. Whether they are the same being is not verified.
The blurb says gods are directly and indirectly involved. The wiki says Artemis and Nature's Attendant attended in person, and Valdemar's aura is mentioned.
III · End-of-Book Stats & Power Gains
Current Rank / Grade
C-grade. The wiki's ch. 893 ('Post-Nevermore Status') sheet, 13 chapters before the book ends, reads Race Level 278, Class Level 289, Profession Level 267. Attributes at that snapshot include Perception 54,595, Agility 34,616 and Strength 26,170, with HP 182,060 and MP 411,484.
Dao / Path / Class Evolution
No grade or class evolution. The wiki records class skill selections at Level 260 (ch. 858) and a profession skill pick at ch. 861. The Peerless Conqueror of Nevermore title (ch. 876) and the Nevermore All-Star Challenger title (ch. 851) are the big path markers.
Major Skill & Body Gains
- Titles: Nevermore All-Star Challenger (ch. 851) and Peerless Conqueror of Nevermore (ch. 876), per the wiki Titles table.
- Level 260 class skill: Penetrating Arcane Arrow of Horizon's Edge (Ancient), selected at ch. 858.
- Profession skill: Chosen's Offering of the Malefic Viper (Legendary), selected at ch. 861 ('One Last Floor').
- Boots of the Wandering Sage (Mythical, ch. 852), upgraded boots that continue the line from Boots of the Wandering Alchemist.
IV · Extras: Empire, Gear & World State
Territory & Faction Upgrades
Nevermore City is the setting for the social chapters, and 'An All-New Haven' (ch. 68) shows the home base changed during the years Jake was away. The wiki's ch. 737 sheet lists Nobility: Marquess and its ch. 893 sheet lists Duke, but the Titles table dates the Duke title to ch. 943 (Book 13), so the promotion's book is unresolved. See canonNotes.
Signature Gear & Vessels
- Boots of the Wandering Sage (Mythical)
- Immutable Hunter's Bow and the Colosseum loot from Book 11 are still his kit
Ticking Clocks
- The Prima Guardian system event. Jake and the Order spend ch. 72 ('Prima Preparations') getting ready for it.
- Ell'Hakan, now publicly runner-up behind Jake, with Yip of Yore's blessing behind him.
- The Malefic Viper's feud with Yip of Yore. The Book 13 blurb says it 'draws ever closer'.
