I · The Main Plot
Where We Start
Chapter 1 ('Time Skip Status', overall ch. 737) opens years into Nevermore, after many floors. Jake is a Human (C) with the Arcane Hunter of Horizon's Edge class and the Heretic-Chosen Alchemist of the Malefic Viper profession. The party now turns to the Challenge Dungeons, which the publisher blurb says will decide the Leaderboards' true top scorer.
Major Plot Points & Spoilers
- Colosseum of Mortals (ch. 3 to 49, roughly). In this dungeon Jake is stripped down to base-level stats, no gear and heavily limited skills, and fights as a gladiator. The chapter titles track a gladiatorial debut, a fight with 'The Merciful Doomfoot', a long feud with a Benevolent Monk (including a rematch and 'Monk Beating = Colosseum Loot'), then a Championship Match and the 'Gauntlet of the Grand Champion'.
- The Grand Champion gauntlet is a run of seven champions, titled in order: Lightning Monarch, Archmage, Necromancer, Undying, Death & Flames, Lord of the Hunt, Umbra and Warmaster. The finale is titled 'Warrior' (three parts), 'Hunter vs. Warrior', 'One Last Shot' and 'Hunter', followed by 'Rewards/Cost of the Impossible' and 'Backlash'. The wiki lists separate Grand Champion and True Grand Champion pages, but we could not read them, so who Jake beat and what the 'Backlash' was are unverified.
- The 'Lord of the Hunt' champion is an image of the goddess Artemis. The wiki's relationship page says Jake beat her image, then kept spending free time with it, and that they slept together. That thread pays off in Books 15 and 16.
- Test of Character (ch. 50 to 55) is the Challenge Dungeon where you live out scripted stories as different characters. The titles hint at 'Confusing Stories', an 'Out of Hand' moment and a 'Reunion' (ch. 54). Chapter 56 is literally titled '[Redacted]'. Plot details are unverified.
- Minaga's Endless Labyrinth (ch. 61 to 66): 'Minaga's Nightmare Begins', 'Three Limiters', 'An Unmissable Opportunity', 'The J***s Incident' and 'All Good Labyrinths Must Come To An End'. The wiki says Minaga is a Unique Lifeform who engineers Nevermore's challenges for the Wyrmgod. The blurb closes with a joke about not forgetting the labyrinths 'lest we make Minaga sad'.
- House of the Architect (ch. 69), then a stretch of training and alchemy: 'Merit Points', 'A Cursed Student-Teacher Relationship', 'To Feed Thy Curse', 'The Prodigal Son Returns', 'Spectrum of Perception', 'Unseen Arcane Hunter', 'Temlat's Path', 'No Regrets', 'Brittle', 'A Black Heart', and two 'Evaluation' chapters. The final chapter (ch. 830) is 'An Ingenious Mind'. The wiki's Nevermore page lists a fifth Challenge Dungeon, Endless Journey, which we could not map to specific chapters.
Where the Book Leaves Off
Unverified. The last chapters are the two 'Evaluation' chapters and 'An Ingenious Mind' (ch. 828 to 830). Neither the blurb nor the chapter list says whether any dungeon is left or where Jake stands on the Leaderboards. Book 12's blurb picks up with exactly one Challenge Dungeon left.
II · Characters & Personal Progression
Romantic & Personal Status
Jake does not end Book 11 in a defined couple. The wiki's relationship page says Jake and the image of Artemis kept meeting between his Colosseum matches, and that the real Artemis (a goddess of the Pantheon of Life) saw a recording of the fights. It also lists Carmen as a friend-with-benefits who rejects a formal relationship. How these play out inside Book 11's own chapters is not verified.
Inner Circle Check-In
- The Malefic Viper (Villy): Jake's Primordial patron. A quote on the wiki's Book 11 page has other gods remarking on two Primordials scuffling over a bet, but which Primordials and which scene are unverified.
- Noboru Miyamoto (the Sword Saint): Joins Jake's Nevermore party per the wiki's character page. Not verified for specific Book 11 scenes.
- Sylphie: Jake's Sylphian Hawk goddaughter. She is the cover star of Book 12 per the wiki, but her Book 11 role is unverified.
- Jake's other party members: The blurb says he takes on the dungeons 'with his friends'. We could not verify the full roster of five from our sources.
Key New Faces & Factions
Image of the Pantheon of Life goddess, used as the 'Lord of the Hunt' champion in the Colosseum. The real Artemis shows up in later books.
Unique Lifeform who can make unlimited clones of himself. He designs Nevermore floors with the Wyrmgod, and the Book 11 blurb name-drops him.
Recurring Colosseum opponent across several chapters, including a rematch. His identity beyond the title is unverified.
Chosen of Yip of Yore and Jake's self-declared rival. The blurb says Jake refuses to lose to him in Nevermore. The wiki puts him far up the final Leaderboards.
III · End-of-Book Stats & Power Gains
Current Rank / Grade
C-grade. The wiki's Status page has a sheet at chapter 737 (the start of this book): Race Level 253, Class Level 256, Profession Level 251. We have no end-of-book snapshot for chapter 830. By chapter 893 (Book 12) the same sheet reads 278, 289 and 267, so growth over Book 11 is large but unquantified.
Dao / Path / Class Evolution
No grade or class evolution in this volume. The class stays Arcane Hunter of Horizon's Edge and the profession stays Heretic-Chosen Alchemist of the Malefic Viper. The wiki credits the 'Dungeoneer' title at ch. 739 (the sheet carries Dungeoneer XV by ch. 893).
Major Skill & Body Gains
- Skills added between the ch. 737 and ch. 893 sheets (Books 11 and 12 combined): Horizon-chasing Big Game Arcane Hunter, Mark of the Horizon-Chasing Arcane Hunter, Unseen Arcane Hunter (Legendary) and Primal Gaze of the Apex Hunter (Mythical). On the profession side, Blood of the Malefic Viper and Chosen's Offering of the Malefic Viper. We can't separate Book 11 from Book 12 for these, except that chapter 817 is titled 'Unseen Arcane Hunter'.
- Colosseum loot (wiki equipment table, ch. 747 to 756): Fleetstep Boots, a pair of Aersteel Katars, Gloves of Hardening, a leather vestment and pants, Bracers of Counter-Deflection, Necklace of the Hopeful Enlightenment, Ring of Deft Hands and 'The 1 Ring'. At ch. 755 he picks up the Ancient Immutable Hunter's Bow, and at ch. 756 the Ancient Arcane Aersteel Katar.
- Alchemy (wiki, ch. 812 to 827): Cursed Stimulant of Hunger, Malefic Confluence Spirit Orb (Ancient), Potent Hemonecrotic Poison, two Arcane Acids of Brittleness, Heartrot Poison and Malefic Blackheart Poison (Ancient).
IV · Extras: Empire, Gear & World State
Territory & Faction Upgrades
No territory changes. The whole book is inside Nevermore, a World Wonder in the 2nd universe that the wiki calls neutral ground for the whole multiverse. Haven and Earth are not in play.
Signature Gear & Vessels
- Immutable Hunter's Bow (Ancient, ch. 755), his main bow upgrade of the book
- Aersteel Katar pair and the Arcane Aersteel Katar (ch. 751 and 756)
- Colosseum leather set, boots, bracers, gloves and rings (ch. 747 to 751), plus the alchemy items above
Ticking Clocks
- The Leaderboard race against Ell'Hakan. Jake has 'no plans on losing', and the blurb ties the Challenge Dungeons to who actually tops the board.
- The remaining Challenge Dungeon(s) and the floors still to climb before the 50-year C-grade clock in Nevermore runs out.
- The attention of gods and Primordials watching Nevermore. Artemis has already seen a recording of Jake's fights.
