The Hook & Setting
Setting: A magical academy city, with a bookish student at its centre.
Tone: Clever, tightly plotted time-loop fantasy; more mystery and magic study than combat.
System premise: A single month repeats; the protagonist retains his memories and uses the repeats to study magic and unravel why it is happening.
The Magic System at a Glance
Magic is studied, not levelled: spells are learned from books and teachers, and shaping is a core skill. There is no class or rank system; progress is knowledge and practice.
- Spells and shaping, learned through study
- Mind magic, taught by the city's telepathic spiders
- A repeating month in which memories carry over
- Reserves, a measure of spell capacity
